Follow the steps below to unlock your ZTE MF283V.

Requirements
  • Windows PC
  • USB cable
  • Foreign network sim


How to unlock your ZTE MF283V
  1. Open the latch where the USB port is beneath and connect the router to the computer with a USB cord
  2. A CD drive should appear in windows explorer, right-click on it and select "eject"
  3. Enable diagnostic mode by visiting the URL below

    http://192.168.0.1/goform/goform_process?goformId=MODE_SWITCH&switchCmd=FACTORY

  4. ZTE Diagnostics Interface should appear in device manager, take note of the com port number
  5. Run the *.cmd file and enter the port number of the ZTE Diagnostics Interface
  6. Allow the process to complete and the device will be unlocked afterward
